Outreach to find and support individuals with disabilities and their families who have been displaced by Katrina continues to be a great need. Anyone who can assist with this effort should contact the Families Helping Families resource center in their area and ask to speak with the center's director. Individuals can spend as much time as they have on this important work - any amount of time one can spend doing this will make a big difference in the lives of those who have been impacted by this unprecedented tragedy. The staff at the the Families Helping Families center will provide you with information and support to go out and do this very important work.
