Louisiana Medicaid Response to Hurricane Katrina

*Guidelines to qualify are the same as traditional guidelines for Medicaid in Louisiana; however, many in Louisiana are without jobs and homes.

*People in the affected areas may now qualify because of the change in their living situation.

*It is important to note that this Hurricane Katrina Medicaid coverage will be temporary.
